Former US ambassador to Venezuela, Patrick Duddy, will present on the United States’ relationship with Venezuela in the Horizon-Aurora Room at the University of Idaho Student Union Building on February 5 at 5:30 pm. This presentation is part of a weeklong visit organized by the Martin Institute, which includes a short course on inter-American relations and meetings with international studies and business students.

Bill Smith, director of the Martin Institute, expressed enthusiasm for Ambassador Duddy’s visit, highlighting his extensive knowledge and experience. Duddy has nearly 30 years of diplomatic experience, having served as US ambassador to Venezuela under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He currently holds a position as a senior advisor on global affairs at Duke University, where he also teaches at the Fuqua School of Business.
