The WSU Whitman County Master Gardeners and local experts are hosting a community event called Garden Talk Tuesday at Neill Public Library in Pullman. The first session will feature Claire MacPherson, a Garden Program Educator from the Community Action Center (CAC) in Pullman, who will present on ‘Mason Jar Hydroponics: Learn and Make.’
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the hydroponic system utilized by the CAC to grow fresh greens, and they can create a scaled-down version to take home. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring gardening questions or samples of plant issues to the “Ask a Master Gardener” table available at the event.
This event is scheduled for February 4th from 1-3 pm and will be the inaugural Garden Talk Tuesday, with future discussions planned for the first Tuesday of each month covering various gardening topics.
All necessary supplies for the activity will be provided by the organizers, but participants must register to attend. Currently, registration for the February event is closed, but individuals can add their names to a waitlist to be notified of any openings.
