Local home prices in Washington have decreased this year.

The Whitman County Association of Realtors has released the September housing statistics. The average price for a home sold in Whitman County last month was $353,000, representing a decline of $83,000 from August and $35,000 from the same time last year. In October, homes were on the market for approximately two months, with 145 homes sold last month, marking the second highest number of sales since the beginning of 2023.
