A candidate for the Latah County Library Board, 22-year-old Bradley Baas of Moscow, was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly driving under the influence in Moscow.
The arrest occurred at the McDonald’s on Pullman Road, where employees reportedly observed Baas drinking a beer while in his vehicle in the drive-thru. A Moscow Police Officer responded to the scene, and Baas underwent a field sobriety test along with a breathalyzer test, which indicated a blood alcohol level of just below 0.14, exceeding the legal limit of 0.08. An open beer can was reportedly found in the vehicle. Baas was subsequently booked into the Latah County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a misdemeanor DUI charge.
Baas is running against Latah County Library Board Trustee Marci Miller in the upcoming election on Tuesday.
