Lawn watering in Troy is now subject to a new ordinance aimed at conserving the city’s water supply. The Troy City Council approved this measure, which restricts the use of sprinklers for lawn watering during the outdoor irrigation season. The season’s timing will be determined by the city’s public works director.

Under the new rules, lawn watering is permitted only between 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM during the designated season. Residents with even-numbered addresses may water their lawns on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while those with odd-numbered addresses can do so on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Sprinkler lawn watering is not allowed on Sundays. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in fines and potential loss of water service.

Similar outdoor irrigation restrictions are in place in the Cities of Moscow and Pullman.
