The Latah County Historical Society and University of Idaho Library are organizing a closing reception for the Smithsonian traveling exhibit “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” on Monday, September 29, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the UI Library.

This exhibit presents the history of voting rights, citizenship, and American identity through various historic photos, artifacts, and videos. The closing reception will feature activities and light refreshments, and attendance is free and open to all.

“Voices and Votes” will be available for viewing until Friday, October 3. This exhibit is part of Museum on Main Street, a partnership between the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils across the country, with local support from the Idaho Humanities Council.
