The League of Women Voters of Pullman and Whitman County is hosting an event titled “Misinformation and Digital Platforms” on Thursday, November 13, at 6:00 pm at Neill Public Library.

Dr. Porismita Borah, a Professor of Communication in the Edward R. Murrow College at Washington State University, will offer insights into the dynamics of misinformation on digital platforms and various strategies to address it.

The presentation will cover the implications of misinformation, the role of AI in both disseminating and countering false information, and the actions that individuals and communities can take to address the challenges posed by misinformation.
