The Latah County Historical Society announces that historian Dr. Earl Bennett will receive the Esto Perpetua Award from the Idaho State Historical Society. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to preserving Idaho’s history.

Dr. Bennett has been an Idaho State Historical Society Trustee for 16 years and serves as the official historian for Genesee. He is recognized for his expertise in Idaho’s mining history.

Dr. Bennett will be honored alongside 11 other recipients at a ceremony on June 5th at the Idaho State Museum.
