Moscow has approved a 1-year license agreement with Spin eScooters, allowing the company to deploy app-based e-scooter devices within the city. The rollout is scheduled for Friday, June 13.
Under this agreement, Spin will pay a license fee to the city, ensuring that the program does not impose additional costs on local taxpayers.
To maintain safety and reduce congestion, the e-scooters will not be permitted in certain designated areas of the U of I campus and the downtown region. A map of these restricted locations is available for public review.
Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Spin’s safety guidelines before using the e-scooters.
