Moscow City Councilwoman Hailey Lewis has announced her candidacy for the position of mayor in Moscow. Lewis submitted her application for the open mayoral race on Monday, following the decision of Mayor Art Bettge not to seek re-election. Additionally, Sage McCetich has filed to run for a seat on the Moscow City Council.

In the upcoming November election, three Moscow City Council seats are available, currently occupied by Lewis, Julia Parker, and Gina Taruscio. Candidate filing commenced on Monday, and there are a variety of small taxing district positions that also require candidates for this fall’s election. The deadline for candidate filing is set for a week from Friday, August 29th.
