On Monday afternoon, a wildfire was reported east of Moscow, resulting in a response from the Rural Fire Department Volunteers. Fire units were dispatched to the scene near Crumarine Loop Road shortly after noon. Chief Brian Nickerson indicated that the fire may have been ignited by a spark from a farm implement in use in the surrounding area. The blaze affected approximately 8 acres of timber. Fire crews from Bennett Lumber Company and firefighters from the Idaho Department of Lands assisted in extinguishing the fire.
