Most small taxing district levies in Whitman County received approval based on the initial ballot count released on Tuesday night.
The measures that did not achieve the required approval are the Farmington street levy, the LaCrosse Parks and Recreation District levy, and the St. John Parks and Recreation District levy for a splash pad. These levies require a super majority of 60% for passage, and the splash pad levy is currently close, with 59% approval.
There are still thousands of ballots left to be counted in Whitman County. The auditor’s office is scheduled to process another batch of these ballots on Friday night.
