The City of Moscow has announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Ismat Ara and Abdul Mannan Sheikh Community Award.

This award is presented biennially to recognize members of the Moscow community who have shown dedication to fostering community unity and promoting diversity, inclusion, and human rights.

To be eligible for nomination, individuals must meet the following criteria:

1. Make significant contributions to community unity and human understanding in and around Moscow.
2. Demonstrate substantial efforts to support diversity, inclusion, and human rights within the city.
3. Exhibit an outstanding commitment to community service and public engagement in Moscow.

Nominations will be accepted until 5:00 PM on October 3. Interested individuals can submit nominations by emailing [email protected].

Once the nomination period closes, the Moscow Human Rights Commission will review all submissions and provide recommendations to Mayor Art Bettge.
