An online meeting is scheduled for Thursday afternoon to provide updates on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, hosted by the Washington State Parks Department. This trail is the longest in the state, spanning 251 miles from the North Bend area in the Cascades to the Idaho border near Tekoa. The pathway follows the route of the former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific rail lines, which ceased operations in 1984. The webinar will cover updates on this year’s trail projects and future plans for 2026.
