The Pullman Chamber of Commerce board has appointed Pete Chittenden as its new executive director. Chittenden, who has been involved with the chamber as a volunteer for the past four years, started his new role on Monday. His background includes serving on the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation Board, the United Way of Whitman County Board, and the advisory committee for the Boys & Girls Club in Pullman. He succeeds Marie Dymkoski, the previous executive director, who resigned in April. Alexis Foran, who served as the interim executive director during the transition, will return to her previous position as tourism director.
Additionally, Tim Braun has joined the chamber as the new business and communications manager. Braun and Chittenden have previously collaborated at DABCO property management firm in Pullman. Braun takes over the role from Audrey Hughes, who has returned to her hometown in Texas.
