The expansion project for Pullman Regional Hospital is scheduled to commence this summer. In 2022, voters in Pullman approved a bond and property tax increase amounting to 27.5 million dollars to fund a significant portion of the project. Previous attempts to secure funding through bond measures in 2019 were not successful. The total cost of the project is approximately 50 million dollars, with additional funding coming from PRH resources and donations.
PRH CEO Matt Forge recently announced the start of construction in a YouTube video, indicating that the project will be executed in phases over several years. The expansion will enhance the emergency room and surgery department, while also remodeling existing areas. Throughout the construction period, the hospital will continue to operate fully. The PRH facility on Bishop Boulevard has been serving the community for 20 years.
