Preparations are in progress for the 36th annual National Lentil Festival, scheduled for August 16. Organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with various aspects of the event, including vendor support and post-event clean-up at Reaney Park.
Volunteers are essential to the success of the festival, which highlights the region’s agricultural heritage. According to Lentil Fest Director Alexis Foran, volunteers are integral to the festival’s operation.
The organizers aim to recruit 100 volunteers to fill diverse roles during the event. A volunteer packet pickup and pizza party will be held on August 13 in Reaney Park, where roles will be assigned, and volunteers will receive t-shirts and complimentary swag bags.
