Pullman’s buck, known as “Walter,” was found tangled in a hammock at a residence on Pioneer Hill in September. The Pullman Police intervened swiftly to free the buck without causing harm, although some remnants of the hammock remained attached to his antlers. For several months, Walter roamed the area with the hammock pieces visible on his antlers. The local community named him “Walter,” and he gained a following on social media. Recently, the Pullman Police announced that Walter has shed his right antler and is no longer carrying the remnants of the hammock.
