The City of Moscow Arts Department and the Moscow Arts Commission have announced the opening of registration for the 16th Annual Palouse Plein Air painting event.

Artists are invited to paint outdoors at any location within Latah, Nez Perce, Whitman, and Benewah counties during the designated painting period from September 8 to September 16. All artwork must be completed on location by the individual artist.

An exhibition showcasing the submitted works will take place at the Third Street Gallery inside Moscow City Hall, beginning September 18. The exhibition will include an awards ceremony to honor participating artists. This year’s juror is George Scribner, a character animator, director, and fine artist associated with the Walt Disney Company, known for directing the 1988 animated feature “Oliver and Company.”
