Pullman will host several events on Friday to celebrate the upcoming Apple Cup football game between Washington State University and the University of Washington.
One highlight is the appearance of the Cosmic Crisp hot air balloon at the Apple Cup Harvest Market, taking place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Mooberry Track and Gesa Field. This inaugural market will focus on products made by the Cougar community. Additionally, the First Down Friday celebration is scheduled for downtown Pullman from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. There will also be a happy hour social at Gesa Field organized by the Cougar Collective from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, aimed at raising funds for student athletes through name, image, and likeness initiatives.
WSU Veterinary Medicine will host an open house in Bustad Hall from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Furthermore, the Whelan-Ewartsville Grange, located north of Pullman, is holding events throughout the week for its Peel Good Apple Festival.
The Apple Cup football game, marking its first occurrence in Pullman since 2022, is set to kick off at 4:30 PM on Saturday.
