Significant traffic delays are anticipated on Westbound I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass following an incident involving an oversized load that impacted an overpass.

On Tuesday, an over-height load struck an overpass near Cle Elum. As a result, Westbound traffic heading into the mountains is currently being redirected to the off and on ramps at the exit associated with the affected overpass.

Demolition of the damaged structure is scheduled to commence on Thursday night, with completion expected by Saturday, depending on weather conditions. The Washington State Department of Transportation has indicated that they aim to restore normal traffic flow on Westbound I-90 at Cle Elum by early next week. Additionally, plans are underway for the construction of a new overpass.
