Pullman High School has announced changes to its coaching staff, appointing Amy Caessens as the new girls swim coach and Seth Paine as the head girls basketball coach.

Caessens, who previously led the swim team to a 2A Washington state championship in 2021 and earned Coach of the Year honors that season, will be taking over from Jacob Hogg.

Paine, who has a background in coaching basketball that includes a successful tenure with the Colton boys team starting in 2008, will replace Angie Barbour, who served as the head coach for the girls basketball team for the past five years. Paine was also an assistant coach under Craig Brantner at Garfield-Palouse High School, where Brantner has been the boys head basketball coach at Pullman High School for nearly two decades.

The appointments are expected to be confirmed at this week’s Pullman School Board meeting.
