The recent run of spring chinook salmon has led to additional fishing opportunities in Idaho.

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission announced an increase in the daily bag limit for adult spring chinook salmon in certain areas of the Clearwater River Basin. Anglers are now allowed to keep up to two adult salmon per day in the Clearwater River above Orofino, as well as in its Middle and South Forks.
