The Neill Public Library is preparing for the summer reading season, set to begin on June 14 with a day-long celebration from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event will feature various activities, including a performance by Eric Haines’ one-man band.

During this season, children ages 0-17 can obtain a summer reading log to monitor their reading activities, which includes several checkpoints. Once they reach these checkpoints, children can return to the Neill Public Library to claim a prize.

The first week of summer reading will include several events at the library:

– **Tuesday, June 17**: Live performance by Reptile Isle at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

– **Wednesday, June 18**:
– Read the Rainbow with Ms. Rachael.
– Mother Goose Storytime for ages birth to 2 years at 10:15 a.m.
– Storytime Friends for ages 3 to 5 at 11:00 a.m.
– Imaginative Wednesday Elementary Program for grades K to 5, featuring an activity on kaleidoscopes at 1:00 p.m.
– Trading Card Games at 2:00 p.m.
