A fire occurred Saturday night at a residence on Pullman’s Sunnyside Hill, causing damage primarily to the kitchen and resulting in smoke damage to the dining room. Firefighters from the City of Pullman responded to the incident on Staley Drive around 7:30 PM and were able to extinguish the flames quickly. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Preliminary assessments suggest that the fire may have originated from cooking activities. The family residing in the home will be temporarily displaced while repairs and cleanup are conducted.
