Traffic delays are expected on U.S. Highway 195 near Pullman, occurring 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday, starting Monday, for several weeks due to a repaving project.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has contracted Poe Asphalt to resurface 9 miles of U.S. Highway 195, from State Route 27 at the southern end of Pullman to Babbitt Road. The repaving will primarily occur at night, while guardrail work will take place during the day. This schedule has resulted in continuous traffic delays for safety reasons. Temporary stoplights will manage traffic flow through the one-mile work zones, and motorists should anticipate delays of up to 15 minutes. No delays are expected during weekends or on the Labor Day holiday.

The project, costing approximately 3.5 million dollars, is slated for completion by late September. Initially, WSDOT had indicated that traffic delays would occur only at night.
