Motorists using U.S. Highway 95 may experience significant traffic delays later this week due to construction activities. Crews will be pouring concrete for the Thorn Creek Bridge, which will affect traffic through the work zone on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Idaho Transportation Department has indicated that delays could last at least 20 minutes. To minimize disruption, the speed limit over the bridge will be reduced to 5 MPH to prevent vibrations from interfering with the curing process. This work is part of a larger highway construction project aimed at improving safety on U.S. 95 South of town. The $90 million project, which began three years ago, is scheduled for completion in November, with the northern 5 miles of the new highway already open.
