Initial ballot counts from the Whitman County Auditor’s Office indicate a potential outcome in the Pullman City Council race. Trevor Vance is currently in the lead for an open seat, having received approximately 65% of the votes, outpacing DiDi Lubash.
In another race, Bryan MacDonald leads John-Mark Mahnkey with 53% of the vote, maintaining a narrow margin of 102 votes. Similarly, Tawny Szumlas has a 53% lead over John Cassleman, with a margin of 54 votes. All council seats up for election in Pullman this fall are open, with no incumbents running.
It is important to note that a significant number of vote-by-mail ballots from Whitman County remain to be counted. The auditor’s office plans to process another batch on Friday as the counting procedures continue in Washington.
