The Whitman County Association of Realtors has announced the selection of twin brothers, Brendan and Kieran Snekvik, from Garfield-Palouse High School as recipients of the Washington State University Scholarship.
Both students have achieved a 4.0 GPA and are actively engaged in various school sports, clubs, and activities.
They received strong recommendations from teachers, coaches, pastors, and community leaders who noted their positive contributions to the community.
Typically, WCAR awards two $1,000 scholarships each year—one for a Washington State University student and the other for a student pursuing a skilled trades program. This year, due to a lack of qualified trades applications, the Scholarship Committee decided to allocate the unused funds to support a second WSU-bound student.
Tess Smith, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at WCAR, stated, “These young men exemplify the values our scholarship program aims to promote—academic achievement, strong character, and community involvement. They have made a notable impact on their school and community, and we are pleased to assist them in their pursuit of higher education at Washington State University.”
