The University of Idaho has entered into a partnership with Google to provide students with access to advanced artificial intelligence tools and training through the Google AI for Education Accelerator program.

As part of this initiative, students will have the opportunity to enroll in Google Career Certificates in various fields such as cybersecurity, data analytics, and IT support, which are recognized by over 150 companies for employment purposes.

Additionally, the program offers training in foundational AI skills, prompting techniques, and responsible AI usage, along with access to AI-powered tools like Gemini and NotebookLM, which assist with research, writing, and information organization.

University of Idaho President Scott Green highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating that it supports the university’s strategic goals for the coming decade, which encompass teaching, learning, research, and community service. He emphasized the importance of providing students with early access to advanced AI tools.
