Don Monson, a Hall of Fame coach for the University of Idaho men’s basketball team, has passed away at the age of 92. Under his leadership, the Vandals achieved significant success, reaching the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 1982, a season in which Monson was recognized as the National Coach of the Year after leading the team to only three losses. Following his tenure at Idaho, he went on to coach for nine seasons at the University of Oregon.
