The Pull-Mo Juneteenth Coalition is organizing a celebration on June 19 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Moscow’s Friendship Square. This event commemorates Juneteenth, which marks the declaration of freedom for over 250,000 enslaved black Americans in Texas in 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
The celebration will feature various community activities including music, dancing, and artistic expression. Attendees can expect complimentary food (while supplies last), a DJ, live performances, line dancing, a drum circle, spoken word presentations, and more.
