The Whitman County Humane Society has reported significant success in their Kitten Shower campaign, surpassing their initial fundraising goal of $3,000 by raising a total of $9,800 with three days remaining. A local resident contributed $5,000, which will help cover kitten vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures. Additionally, the Lauren McCluskey Foundation matched pledges amounting to $2,000, enhancing the impact of donations.
Lori Jordan, a member of the Board of Directors at WCHS, expressed gratitude to all contributors, highlighting that the funds will facilitate essential upgrades and care during a busy period for the organization.
Supporters still have the opportunity to contribute to the May Kitten Shower by donating supplies at various locations in Pullman and Colfax, including:
– Chipman & Taylor Chevrolet
– Pets Are People Too
– Pups & Cups Café
– Rosauers
– Shotz Coffee
Online donations can also be made through their website at whitmanpets.org/kitten-shower.
