**Whitman County Virtual Public Meeting on Community Wildfire Protection Plan**

Whitman County officials will host a virtual public meeting to discuss the draft of the county’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The meeting is set for Wednesday, January 22, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will provide an overview of the draft plan, followed by a Q&A session for residents.

The CWPP aims to assist communities in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from wildfires. This meeting will initiate a 45-day public comment period, allowing residents to review the draft plan and submit written feedback.

Feedback collected during this review period will be considered by the CWPP development team. Community participation in this planning process is encouraged.
