The Whitman County Humane Society has reached a significant milestone in its annual May Kitten Shower Fundraiser & Supply Drive. Community donations have successfully met a $500 donation match from an anonymous donor. Additionally, a second anonymous donor has pledged to match all new donations up to $1,500 to support the acquisition of a lifesaving oxygen care system for small animals.
“Kitten season is our busiest and most critical time, and with this new $1,500 match, our community’s gifts will continue to go twice as far,” stated Lori Jordan from the Board of Directors at WCHS. The organization expresses gratitude for the support received from the community.
Funds raised beyond the cost of the new oxygen care system will be allocated for purchasing kitten formula and other essential supplies.
