Washington State University is undergoing an administration restructuring led by new President Elizabeth Cantwell.
The Office of Research will once again report directly to the president, a change that was announced in a press release on the university’s website. This transition will take effect on Friday.
According to the release, this shift aims to strengthen institutional coherence and enhance WSU’s research impact. Kim Christen will continue to lead the Office of Research.
Previously, the Office of Research was moved to the provost’s office two years ago under former President Kirk Schulz. It now joins the units of academics, operations, and athletics reporting directly to the president.
