The Neill Public Library in Pullman will feature presentations by two graduate students from Washington State University, Calby Van Hollebeke and Gavin Doyle, on Tuesday, September 30, at 6:00 pm.
Calby Van Hollebeke will present on her project “Harvest Interludes,” which is a classical chamber music concert series held at family-owned farms in the Palouse and Washtucna Coulee. Gavin Doyle will discuss his project “Reigniting Labor in the Palouse,” focusing on an archive that documents the history and organizing efforts of UAW Local 4591, a union established for WSU Academic Student Employees in 2024.
Van Hollebeke is pursuing a Master of Arts in Music Performance with a focus on oboe, while Doyle is a PhD candidate in English-Rhetoric and Composition and is involved with UAW Local 4591 as head trustee.
