A Washington State University health coordinator has been appointed to the Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners.
Shane McFarland was selected by the board to fill a vacancy that arose following the resignation of Commissioner Karen Karpman last month.
McFarland serves as the Online Wellness and Health Coordinator at WSU and holds roles as a faculty instructor, exercise physiologist, and EMT. He plans to run for the elected position in the upcoming general election this fall.
This marks the third vacancy on the PRH board in recent months.
