The community is invited to attend a presentation by Dr. Heather McNamee at the Neill Public Library in Pullman, focusing on the era of civil rights activism following school desegregation.
The event will take place at 6 pm on Thursday, February 13, and will address the experiences of black students in unitary school systems and the organizational responses from students, parents, and community leaders.
Dr. McNamee is an Assistant Professor of History at Washington State University, with expertise in 20th century issues related to race, gender, and sexuality in the US South.
This event is open to the public, does not require registration, and will include refreshments.
